About Us: The Family

I wanted to write a bit about us as a family, so that people know that we are not thoughtless puppy breeders. I have noticed that when it comes to dog owners allowing their dogs to have puppies, there are people who jump to the wrong conclusions and judge them, when in fact they know very little about the person or people they are judging.

Hopefully if you take the time to read this diary about the pregnancy and sad miscarriage of our Yorkshire terrier, Rascal, you will know that we love our dogs very much and that it was only ever going to be a one time thing. We were happy letting her have one litter of puppies as we knew that there were good homes waiting for them. If we did not have homes for the puppies or if the vet had at any time advised us against breeding them for health reasons, then we would never have allowed our  Yorkshire Terriers to mate.

We do have four dogs in total and love them all. They all get spoiled with affection and are probably better cared for than the children!

                                        Meet Us

Me and Catherine, Rascal, the Yorkies mistress
I am the one responsible for making sure that all dogs, children and husband are all well cared for. I am also the one that is responsible for writing this blog.

Catherine is responsible for most of the mess in our house and for the care of Rascal, her Yorkshire Terrier.
My husband....??
My husband is NOT responsible for the cooking as he really is no kitchen God, do you think we would have felt the need to take a photograph if he was? He is resposible for our ever growing wood pile! He makes sure that we never leave the fields without carrying at least one small log of wood each when we are out walking the dogs. I drew the line at letting him put saddle bags on the dogs!

Gregs.
Gregs is responsible for any mess that Catherine has not made and happily plods along with our old dog when out walking.

Between us we feed, exercise and play with the dogs and were all equally gutted when Rascal miscarried her puppies. We are just thankful that Rascal is now back to her normal feisty self and has not suffered any lasting affects of being pregnant and having lost her puppies. She is due to be spayed in a couple of weeks time.

Rascal, Catherines feisty Yorkshire Terrier.

I started to write this blog diary as a kind of memory for us and wanted to include pictures of the birth, the puppies and the puppies new owners, so that we would always have them to look at. Sadly, as sometimes happens in life, things don't go according to plan.... Where It All Started....
